About the event
Join us Monday 7th December, 2pm to celebrate alongside David Joy the launch of his brand new book, Yorkshire Dales Railways: a Personal History.
David Joy developed a lifelong obsession for Dales Railways when as a teenager he lived next door to the signalman at Grassington Station.
Historic photos - many in unpublished colour images extend this personal history of branch lines in Nidderdale, Wensleydale and Swaledale with photos of these included in this celebration of Yorkshire Dales Railways.
The Book takes a 'Who do you think you are' approach, going back to David's great-great-uncle Richard Joy who backed the Yorkshire Dales Railway from Skipton to Darlington.
Yet another book from David Joy which shares his history and joy of the area with us.
